Martha, Mary, and Lazarus are three siblings that lived in harmony most of the time. They certainly had a lot in common. They lived together in Bethany. They knew a very special bond. They knew the grief of sickness and death. They knew the love of Jesus.
Jesus often visited there with His disciples. More often than not He taught crowds of people gathered for such a purpose. Martha’s strength was in her servanthood. She served unreservedly, expecting her sister Mary to share in these responsibilities.
Mary had different aspirations. She knew Jesus was a great teacher and wanted to learn what new things He had to teach.
Lazarus was. He was sick. He was dying. He died. He was raised from the dead. He was a type of Christ. Find out how. What or who brought the differences of this family of siblings together in total unity?
