Samson was born into a most unusual situation (Judges 13:7). While God has a plan for each of us (Jeremiah 29:11) His plan for Samson unfolded slowly in his short life of >50 years. God took an extraction of all his weaknesses and strengths to utilize him in the best way possible. Many would say Samson was a failure because of his faults and mistakes but God knew him even before he was formed in the womb of his dedicated mother (Jeremiah 1:5) As you will soon see, in spite of himself, Samson carried out God’s plan, I.e. to begin to deliver Israel from the Philistines, perfectly (Judges 13:3-5).
